Grace Neville

Age: 17

Position: Defender (Right Back)

Grace's passion for football stemmed from going over to Whitewebbs and watching her dad play in the senior side. Many players at the club always took the time to play football with Grace when she was a young age and so when the opportunity of her playing in a team for Whitewebbs arose she jumped at the chance. The club started an U8's side and at the time Grace was the only girl but she was welcomed as one of the boys. She played in defence where she still plays to this day. Grace stayed with Whitewebbs at under 9's where she was scouted for Arsenal Ladies but she wanted to stay at Whitewebbs and she played U10's season with the eagles. The FA rules at the time would not let Grace continue to U11's in a boys side so sadly she had to leave Whitewebbs.
Grace went to trial at Arsenal Ladies and was accepted into their U12's side at age 10.

Grace remained at Arsenal Ladies Centre of Excellence for 6 seasons where she developed as a player and was honoured to be captain of the Under 15's and to win the double with Arsenal Ladies U 17's winning both the league and FA cup.

It was while at Arsenal Grace was scouted to attend training sessions at England and she earned her first international cap for England at the U15 age group. Grace has continued to be an England player and is in the current England U17's squad that has just returned in May from the UEFA Women's U17's European Championships in Czech Republic. The girls progressed to the quarter finals stage. A highlight of the tournament was beating Germany 2-1 who actually went on to win the final.

Grace moved to Millwall Lionesses side this season where she made her debut at 16 for first team WSL2 but will return to Arsenal reserves for the upcoming season 2017/2018.

"My early years playing football with Whitewebbs left me with good training, grounding, very special memories and a love and passion for the game."
