A well deserved 3-3 draw, in a game we definitely deserved to get something from. Unlucky to be 1-3 down at half-time, but you still played with your heads up and tried to play football on a difficult pitch with long grass. Well done for keeping going - I am sure the last touch was watched in slow motion - set piece towering header to equalise in the last second! Star player was Kannon - kept the middle of the pitch closed down and constantly put through dangerous ball for team mates.
Welwyn Peagasus (A) D 2-2
A Pleasing result against a team we got nothing from last season! Much more consistent play, and everyone should be pleased with the result. Star Player was James - endless running, hassling and closing down along with good work with the ball down the left, both in attack and defence.
BSCFC Wanderers (H) W 8-5
That was quite a start to the season! We started and ended the game in control, playing each other in and through, using the ball well and closing down the opposition - all the things we stopped doing in the middle of the game! To go 3-0 up, then 3-5 down to 8-5 up bought back memories of Ossie Ardiles in charge of Spurs!! Star Player was Conor - with 5 goals, those shooting boots need to be worn all season.
